Finnworld was established in 2002 by its owner and founder, Janet Farrier. Previous clients have included; incoming agents, activity suppliers, independent hotels and hotel chains, resorts, regions and municipalities within Finland.

2017 has seen the expansion of the Finnworld team and adaptation of services. We have welcomed Eddie Evans onboard in the UK and Phil Farrier-Price as our China consultant. Together with over 30 years of knowledge and expertise of working with Finland, we have covered all aspects of Finnish tourism projects, leisure and incentives sales management for Finnair, Tallink Silja Line and Viking Line, business development schemes and project management for largest Finland tour operator.

With such a wealth of experience, we understand the needs of tour organisers/regions and suppliers alike.

Janet Farrier

MD and founder of Finnworld | International Sales Director

Janet has worked in the tourism industry for 30 years and with Finland as a destination for over 22 years. From 1994-2000 Janet was Managing Director of Infocus Travel Marketing – field representation UK and Ireland, whose clients included Finland operators, Finnish Tourist Board and Finnair.

In 2002 Whilst working as sales manager, leisure and incentives, for Finnair, UK, Janet saw a need in the Finnish travel trade for an affordable, flexible solution for programme suppliers to connect with trade buyers and set up Finnworld late 2002.


Phillip Farrier-Price

Director Asia

Phil is a valuable member of our team. Based in Beijing, he has worked in China for over 13 years in project management, PR, marketing and events. He is fluent in Mandarin.

Eddie Evans


Eddie has over 30 years experience selling Finland, firstly with Finman Travel International, developing tours to Helsinki. From 2000-2013, Eddie was Managing Director of Emagine Travel UK Limited, chartering flights to Lapland and building tours to other regions in Finland. General Sales Agency in the UK and Ireland for Viking Line from 1992-2013.

We worked with Janet Farrier (Finnworld) on a Kuusamo Lapland regional project (Kuusamo Lapland — The Call of Four Seasons) during the period 2004 — 2006, 2008 - 2010. The purpose of the project was to increase business from UK Ireland tour organizers and to heighten the profile of Kuusamo Lapland to the same.

This was a great success and Janet was instrumental in signing up a leading UK ski operator for a 3 years' winter charter series, plus a leading group activity specialist, as well as several other small and medium sized operators.

Janet also gave training seminars to the suppliers on the specific needs of these markets and organized and led a benchmarking tour for us.

Janet Farrier introduced me to Finland over 12 years ago.
